James R. Bender, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.
Dr. James Bender is Board Certified (American Board of Podiatric Surgery) in foot and Ankle Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics. He is currently on the Faculty Staff as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Surgery a Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and functions as Chief of the Podiatry Division of Spectrum Health. As a lifelong resident of West Michigan (except for these training years) he has been involved in multiple community projects. He has special interests in reconstruction surgery including pediatrics, biomechanical and sports medicine and trauma care including fractures, puncture wounds, sprains and strains.
